Website, Registration, and Payment Process

During the registration and check-in process, we collect essential personal data for race participation, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, and a signature for the disclaimer. Additional optional information, such as a slogan, sponsors, and photos, can be provided at your discretion.

If you choose to register, your first and last name, along with your start category, will appear on the web start list. If you prefer not to have this information displayed, please inform us via our contact page, and we will suppress the advertisement. You may leave optional details, such as slogan, sponsors, and photos, blank. While information about your paraglider is optional, we recommend providing it to enhance race organizers' ability to assist you in case of emergencies. We never display or pass on your email address or mobile phone number.

We retain your contact data solely for the purpose of informing you about future races. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time with a single click, and you also have the option to request permanent deletion of all your data.

We do not use analytical services like Google Analytics on our webpage. We use cookies exclusively where needed for registration and to secure the payment process, not for marketing or other purposes. By processing the fee transfer with Paypal, certain data becomes known to this payment service provider. The privacy policy of PayPal applies here.

Android app "Hike n Fly Live Tracking"

When using the Android app "Hike n Fly Live Tracking", your current GPS coordinates are recorded by the app and sent via a encrypted connection to our live tracking system, which is hosted on secure Swiss servers. This never happens unnoticed (in the background), because a corresponding notification informs you about the recording and the number of recorded points. This notification cannot be wiped away. In addition, a short 'Hey-I'm-still-running' beep sounds every 30 minutes for the duration of the recording. If you forget to stop the recording, it will stop automatically after 16 hours.

The data is never forwarded by us. We also do not use any plugins or services from third parties, which means that we do not support any data transfer to third parties or further servers. In particular, we do not use any analysis services such as Google Analytics.

For race evaluation, security and optimal service, your current position, first name, the first letter of your surname, and your track are visible online during the race. The ranking page shows your rank, your full name, your place of origin, your paraglider (optional) and the turnpoints and times you have achieved. Tracks are deleted two weeks after the race, while ranking data and disclaimer signatures are retained for 11 months. Your agreement to this data processing is implicit with race inscription and participation. Early deletion requests can be submitted here. The ranking list may be shared with the Swiss Cup Hike & Fly (SHV) for annual ranking unless you indicate otherwise.

Login inside the app

We ask for your email adress to login in the app. You have already given us your email during the registration process. As already mentioned, we never pass on your personal data to third parties and do not use it for any other purpose.
